Q. Are there age minimums?
A. For the half marathon our general suggestion is a minimum of 13 years of age with at least one year of experience running. All registration under 18 requires a parent/guardian signature. For the relay, our general suggestion is a minimum of 10 years of age with at least one year of experience running. A request for an exception can be made to the race director at firstname.lastname@example.org

Q. How do I know if I’m registered? I didn’t get a confirmation email. Am I signed up?
A. When registering you should have received a confirmation email. Sometimes system generated emails can be blocked depending on your email settings. Please add email@example.com to your safe sender list and to your contacts to avoid emails from the race going to your SPAM folder. You also can confirm your entry by visiting: https://runsignup.com/Race/RegistrationLookup?raceId=19932 by clicking on the link and searching for your name.
Q. Are runners allowed to wear iPods or Headsets?
A. The course is open to local traffic and for safety we ask participants not to wear headphones. This is extremely important as volunteers may be trying to give you information, but you may not be able to hear them. If you must wear headphones, please be sure to have one out of your ears at all times.
Q. Do all half marathon finishers receive a medal? What about Lap the Track 5k finishers?
A. Yes. Half marathon finishers and Lap the Track 5K finishers both receive an awesome, race-themed finisher medal specific to their event.
Q. Do both relay team participants get a finisher medal?
A. Yes! If you compete in the relay both team members get a half marathon finisher medal!

Q. Can someone else pick up my packet?
A. Yes! Someone else can pick up your packet as long as you have given them your permission.
Q: What post-race refreshments are available for participants?
A: Participants will enjoy sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches, assorted granola bars, fruit, coffee and water. Participants 21 and older may also enjoy complimentary beer, sponsored by Michelob Ultra!
Q. What do I get for my entry fee?
A. There are lots of participant perks! Please visit the Participant Perks section of the website for all of the cool race amenities planned for the weekend.
Deferrals / Refunds / Transfers?
We are racers and runners just like you and are sorry to hear of injuries, unexpected circumstances and work schedule changes. We understand your request. However, there are no refunds, deferrals or transfer of entries to other individuals. All items related to your participation in the race including number, shirt, medal, on course support and other items are paid in full.

Q. I noticed you don’t offer refunds or transfers, why is this?
A. We have created this event policy based on operational necessities (inventory levels, product shipment, registration data, and more factors) as well as protecting our participants from liability implications and keeping them safe.
Q. How do I join a relay team?
A. When registering, you can sign up as an individual as a relay team participant. You must reference the name of your teammate and complete your team name field when registering.
Participant Race Shirts
Participants will receive a race-themed shirt at packet pickup. Half marathon and half marathon relay participants will receive a gender-specific tech tee, and Lap the Track 5K participants will receive a super-soft tee.
Q. Can I switch to the relay? Do I need to tell someone? How can I switch?
A. If you wish to join a relay team, you can do so but will need to be re-assigned a different number and coordinate with a team member. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to request switching to the relay.
Q. Is there a time limit on the half marathon course?
A. Yes, the course limit is four hours from the start: 11:30 a.m.
Q. If I'm participating in the Speedway Challenge, do I have to complete the half marathon before the 10:30 a.m. start of the 5K?
A. We allow a 15 minute window for Challenge participants, meaning you have until 10:45 a.m. to start the 5K and receive an accurate 5K chip time. The race course officially closes at noon in order for the Speedway to resume normal operations.
Q. Have you considered adding any kind of virtual event?
A. We have considered, but do not offer a virtual race at this time.
Q. Is there a wheel chair/hand cycle division?
A. We do offer both a hand cycle and wheelchair division. Please indicate if you are entering either division during registration.
